The castle sleeps up to 52 guests across 26 individually designed bedrooms, including deluxe rooms, superior deluxe chambers, and grand castle suites. Each bedroom reflects the castle’s Tudor character, with features such as four-poster beds, stone mullion windows, fireplaces, and generous bathrooms. Signature suites include the Henry VIII Suite, Jane Seymour Suite, and the Catherine of Aragon Tower Suite, offering exceptional space, views, and historic detail for senior leaders or hosts.
Thornbury Castle offers a selection of atmospheric indoor spaces suited to meetings, dining, and breakout sessions. The Tudor Hall accommodates up to 70 for meetings or dinners and up to 120 for receptions, creating a powerful sense of occasion with its original fireplace and stone architecture. The Baron’s Sitting Room seats up to 24 and includes use of the adjacent Chancellor’s Lounge, ideal for board meetings or private dining. Additional spaces include the Library, Lounge, and Tower, allowing flexible use throughout multi-day events.
The castle is set within 15 acres of enclosed grounds and historic gardens. Highlights include the Tudor walled gardens, Rose Garden, kitchen and herb gardens, Privy Garden, and a labyrinth meadow. Dining at Thornbury Castle is rooted in its long culinary heritage. Awarded 3 AA Rosettes for food and recognised for service excellence, the castle offers private dining experiences across its historic rooms. Menus are British-inspired, using seasonal produce including ingredients grown in the castle’s kitchen garden, supported by an extensive wine cellar curated by experienced sommeliers.
