Set within 20 acres of Cheshire countryside near Holmes Chapel, Cranage Estate is a Grade II listed former country house combining Lewis Wyatt architecture with modern conference facilities. Part of the De Vere collection, its historic character, 152 bedrooms and extensive event spaces make it a flexible corporate event venue in the North West that's perfect for meetings, conferences and residential retreats.

Accommodation

The estate has 152 bedrooms, including 123 Guest Rooms, 27 Deluxe Rooms, the Lovell Junior Suite and a separate second Suite. Recently refurbished interiors combine classical and contemporary styling, with double or king-size beds available and many rooms overlooking the Cheshire countryside. The suites provide additional living and working space for VIPs and longer stays.

Indoor spaces

Cranage Estate offers 28 flexible meeting spaces. The Stephenson Suite is the largest, accommodating up to 400 guests, while the Baird Suite can host up to 280. The Appleton Suite, within the original manor house, seats up to 60 beneath a grand chandelier and beside an original fireplace. Further boardrooms, training rooms and Smart Space meeting rooms provide options for workshops, interviews and breakout sessions.

Outdoor spaces

The 20-acre grounds extend events beyond the meeting room. Teams can use the Mansion House lawn for large-scale activities, the Baird Patio and Belvedere for indoor-outdoor events, or the Walled Garden for receptions and teambuilding. The heated Tipi, outdoor kitchen and terraces also provide informal settings for networking and private events.

Dining and catering

Seasonal produce and local ingredients are central to dining at Cranage Estate. Tempus Restaurant & Bar serves a modern British menu, while the outdoor kitchen and fully heated Tipi offer alfresco lunches, dinners and parties. The Tipi can also be hired in its entirety for private dining and corporate events.

With dedicated event planners, conference hosts and in-house technical support, the estate is brilliantly equipped for conferences, training, strategy sessions, product launches and team away days.
