Belvoir Castle - An exclusive-use historic castle for corporate events in Central England

Set high above the Vale of Belvoir, Belvoir Castle is a landmark event venue in Central England, offering rare overnight stays within a working ducal residence. Surrounded by gardens, lakes, and woodland across a vast estate, the Castle combines historic grandeur with professional event delivery for senior leadership gatherings, conferences, and incentive retreats.

Accommodation

Belvoir Castle sleeps up to 28 guests across 14 historic bedrooms located within a private wing of the Castle. The accommodation includes ten double rooms, two twin rooms, one triple, and one single, with most bedrooms benefitting from en-suite or private bathrooms. Each room reflects the character of the Castle while providing comfort suited to residential corporate retreats and multi-day events.

For larger residential groups, additional accommodation is available across the Belvoir Estate in a range of houses and cottages. Options include Vale House, a nine-bedroom property sleeping up to 23 guests, and Belvoir Lodge, which offers nine bedrooms sleeping up to 18 guests. These nearby properties allow organisers to extend capacity while keeping guests close to the Castle for multi-day events and retreats.

Indoor spaces

The Castle’s State Rooms provide an exceptional collection of meeting, dining, and reception spaces. Highlights include the Ballroom, with its cathedral-inspired ceiling modelled on Lincoln Cathedral, the Regent’s Gallery spanning 131 feet and filled with historic artwork, and the Elizabeth Saloon with its refined Regency décor. The State Dining Room seats up to 120 for formal dinners, while a reception room and bar accommodate up to 150 guests. A dedicated boardroom for up to 20 and additional breakout rooms support focused business sessions.

Outdoor spaces

The surrounding gardens offer a variety of outdoor settings for relaxation and structured activity. Formal gardens, lakeside walks, and woodland areas provide space for team-building, wellness sessions, and informal gatherings. The Rose Garden, home to over 800 roses, is particularly suited to summer receptions and garden parties, with marquee options available.

Dining and catering

Dining at Belvoir Castle is overseen by an executive chef who creates bespoke menus using seasonal ingredients, many sourced from the estate. Private dining is hosted within the State Dining Room or Elizabeth Saloon, while more informal options are available through the Castle’s Bistro and Aviary Tearoom. Catering is fully flexible, supporting everything from working lunches to gala dinners.
