Set on 25 acres of private woodland and surrounded by gardens, the breathtaking Ash Barton Estate dates back to the 15th century and is the perfect retreat if you’re looking to get away from it all. With gorgeous sea views and, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the 9-to-5 and get lost on this historic estate.
It can be hard to find a place everyone will like, whether you’re looking for a family getaway or a corporate retreat to take your staff to. There’s enough room to sleep up to 35 people with 12 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. All the bedrooms have supplied linens and towels and are centrally heated throughout. With two kitchens including one with an Aga, there’s plenty of space for family dinners, parties or bake-offs for your team.
Something for everyone
If privacy is something you’re looking for, look no further, the nearest neighbour is over a mile away. Peace and quiet are guaranteed during your stay. You can sit back and relax in the sitting room and enjoy a good book. The main dining room is ideal for large parties and includes comfy sofas, a wood burner and even a piano. Or if you don’t want to stay indoors you can sit around on the terrace and lounge on the garden furniture perhaps enjoying a glass of fine wine. The games barn includes table tennis, pool tables and even a basketball court if you’re in the mood for playing some ball. There is also a luxury heated indoor swimming pool.
The extensive grounds are ideal if you want to go hiking on the moors, clay pigeon shooting, biking or off-road driving. You can even get things roasting on the barbeque. Plus it’s only a short distance away from the seaside where you can go and have fun on the beach. The famous Saunton Sand dunes is only a few miles away and the estate has ideal access to all of Devon including Lynton and Lynmouth. It’s also only a short drive away from both Exmoor and Dartmoor. Whatever you want to do there’s something for everyone.
