Loyton Lodge is a wonderful blend of traditional and modern architecture. The large glass lobby and walkway work in harmony with the natural surroundings allowing light to flood in creating a very pleasant welcome and an enormous sense of peace. The stylish family rooms are all exceptionally well decorated and reflect the tranquility of the location, featuring open fires, warm earthy colours, natural materials and some extremely chic art. Winter or summer the house will allow you to set the pace and tone of your stay.

This is a home ready to welcome friends and family, the dining room is made for celebratory dinners and the billiard room is the perfect place to enjoy an after dinner drink. There are some lovely corners where you can just sit in peace or catch up with friends. Here is a place to recall pleasant memories and make new ones.

The ten ensuite bedrooms are dedicated to comfort with superb bathrooms and tempting beds. The L'Occitane products, the spotless linen, the extra long beds, all speak of the attention that has been paid to your comfort.

It is the attention to detail that really sets Loyton apart. Fully catered, you do not for a moment have to think of anything other than pleasure. Even simple things like spare Wellingtons and coat drying cupboards are there to make your life easier.

Food is another highpoint at Loyton, with seasonal products sourced locally and organically where possible. Quality, freshness and a respect for the land define the kitchen. There is also very much a sense of creating what is right for you - be it a particular wine, theme or ingredient, just ask.

If you can actually part yourself from the house the area provides many rural pursuits. Everything from clay pigeon to polo can be arranged for you. Loyton reserves a special treat for fishing enthusiasts who can test their skills by trying to catch a brown trout, a sea bass and a sea trout, all on a fly in one day with an instructor at hand. If you meet with success you can celebrate with a barbeque of your prize and some champagne. Loyton is also able to offer an excellent and highly regarded shoot.
