Come live the life of a 16th century aristocrat in a Chateau which has belonged to the same family for over 500 years.

Hidden in the smaller Loir Valley’s picturesque countryside this house offers the chance to immerse yourself in culture and history whilst staying in a stunning Chateau. Set in 100 acres of its own grounds with a dry moat and small chapel on in eth garden, sophistication and authenticity meet with comfort and modernity in this elegant home.

The grand salon, decorated in 1778 for the marriage of the Marquis de Vanssay, and adorned with an ornate chandelier, ancestral portraits and magnificent antiques, transmits a quiet air of history. The salon rose, built in the 16th century, combines cosiness by the fire with beautiful furnishings. Moving both back and forwards in time, the 14th century fireplace with an old well and monumental hearth now houses a bar, satellite TV and billiards for a more up to date experience.

The great dining room is a masterpiece of the 18th century. As all cooking is supplied under the watchful eye of the present Comtesse you can be assured of some spectacular dinners complete with candles and excellent wines.

Groups of 18 guests can comfortable occupy all the bedrooms and suites, each sumptuously and individually decorated with beautiful period antiques.

Of course with such a large amount of grounds and the stunning interiors you may well find you can entertain yourself quite easily for a week but if you are looking for something special this house excels. Offering unique once in a lifetime experiences you could choose during your stay to make and bring home your own Foie Gras, deepen you knowledge of Loire Valley wines, test drive you dream car at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit – including Ferraris Lamborghinis Porches and Aston Martins or just relax with some spa treatments.

Because you will effectively be guests of the Comtesse you will have access to things not necessarily available to all and can avail yourself to her extensive local knowledge. Romanesque churches with their unique 11th century murals, the medieval town of Le Mans, Chartres Cathedral and the famous Loire Valley Chateaux are just some of the delights you can sample in a private and more authentic way during your stay.
