If you have ever been to a Stately House on a sunny Sunday afternoon with hordes of people and wished you could have it to yourself, if you have ever wanted to be lady of the manor, if you love country estates but want modern facilities, friendly staff and a reasonable price tag then this is for you.

This historically important stately house set in splendor amongst its own parkland and formal gardens is both everything that you would expect and quite a bit that you wouldn’t.

You would be right to expect the sweeping gravel drive but the serenity and beauty will still take your breath away. You would expect the personal welcome from the staff but may not expect the feeling of belonging that you experience within just minutes of your arrival.

The quality of the artwork and antiques were really beyond our expectations - where else will you have the chance to spend the night under the same roof as a Lely or Van Dyck? or meet you guests for drinks in marble halls glowing softy with muted lighting.

Get dressed up for dinner and swish gracefully down sweeping staircase then learn to relax in the gentle comfort of the libary. This beautiful house will enchant you with brandy by the open fires and dewy morning walks in the formal gardens.

The rooms are all individual and each has a real story to tell – we were fascinated by the silken splendor of the tent room – decorated specifically for a weary traveler who couldn’t get used to conventional rooms and Brewood with its glorious views across gardens and parklands – even from the bath!

Little touches such as a welcome letter and wonderfully fluffy towels and bathrobes in every room coupled with the discrete yet friendly service of the staff really exceeds your expectations but is unexpectedly easy to get used to.

The house has a lovely cellar billiards room and next door you can enjoy the delights of a port and cheese tasting party amongst the arches that once housed a grand wine collection. There is a cosy family drawing room with TV and many formal and informal rooms for eating, reading and relaxing whatever the weather.

In addition there is a spectacular orangey – a romantic wedding setting or dramatic dinner party back drop.

The grounds benefit from estate walks, an adventure playground, relaxed stables café and bar and a newly finished farm shop and art gallery. Off site you are just a short drive away from the shopping and culture of Birmingham or the foodie paradise at Ludlow as well as the beautiful rolling hills of the welsh boarders.

For corporate events, weddings or just a place to celebrate a special occasion, then this lovely estate will surprise you and leave you with memories you will never forget.
