Just on the edge of a pretty Devon village this house offers a surprisingly fresh modern interior combined with lots of architectural charm. Two large living rooms are accessed directly off of the elegant hall with its graceful high ceilings. The first with its chic terracotta and cream walls benefits from two large open fires at either end which would warm you on even the coldest winter day whilst floor to ceiling French doors that ensure that whatever the weather you would be able to enjoy the glorious countryside views.

The second sitting room offers the perfect opportunity to watch your favourite film en-masse with lots of comfortable seating and a big flat screen TV, again there is an open fire and big French doors to make the most of any season.

On warm Summer days you will be able to throw these doors open and create an indoor/outdoor space combining the garden terrace, the second living room and games room in a continuous flow of sunshine.

Family rooms include a large lounge with 50” plasma screen, open fire and floor to ceiling windows with a sea view, a brand new kitchen, large dining room to seat 30 and a games room.

The games room has seen many memorable weekend tournaments, grown up or not you will fall for the charms of this quirky room with its perfect balance between historical features and modern touches. Well equipped with a pool table, table football and air hockey as well as a large flat screen and a DVD library, there is a squishy sofa, another big fireplaces and those lovely views.

The kitchen has an Aga, oven, microwave and hob along with American style fridge freezers and dishwasher to take the pain out of big group catering. The linked dining room is quite spectacular with one large table to seat 24 people, grand enough for a special dinner and relaxed enough for a lazy brunch.

Upstairs the bedrooms are all individually decorated and offer the same sense of fresh comfort as the ground floor. Crisp white sheets, exceptionally good mattresses, private TV’s and en-suite bathrooms will keep everybody happy and contented. Some bedrooms have their own balcony or sitting room and there are some good quality sofa beds should you need extra sleeping space.

The outdoor terrace is fantastic with a smaller sheltered seating area and a large single table to seat 24. There is a large bar b q and gas heaters. The views skip across the croquet lawn to the valley beyond.

Because of the house’s village location the shops and 2 pubs are within walking distance with the wonderful South Devon coast and the beautiful town of Kingsbridge just a few minutes’ drive away
