You would have to look very hard to find a house with more magnificent views than this. Soaring above Bronte country moorland and reached via a 3 mile drive the house is immersed in an unspoilt and wildly beautiful landscape.

The house with its huge south and west facing windows makes the most of this – letting the summer light steam in and allowing you to watch stunning winter storms safe and cosy by roaring fires, and of course, the sunsets are just breathtaking.

With walking right from your front door you will be able to discover romantic waterfalls and maybe catch a glimpse of a red deer or two and when it’s time to rest why not enjoy a picnic on the banks of a gurgling moorland river.

Inside the house remains very much a family home, decorated with warmth and comfort in mind, but grand enough to really feel the sense of occasion and yet not so precious that you will feel unable to relax.

The ground floor offers several reception rooms ranging from a small study to a grand music room. All have a mixture of fresh modern styling intermingled with tasteful antiques and historic details – and all are equipped with comfy chairs, an open fire or a beautiful view.

Everything from a quiet corner with a good book to a place to hold a team meeting or chic cocktail party has a place in this elegant and welcoming house, there is even a games room with table tennis.

Upstairs the bedrooms are light filled and individually decorated to feel inviting and comfortable, 2 are ensuite and with another 7 bathrooms and a shower room there are ample bathrooms. There is even an upstairs pantry for a midnight snack or breakfast in bed.

There is so much to say about the location of the house and so much to do in the area that it would be impossible to list it all here – just imagine long walks with a welcome cup of tea (or something a bit stronger!) at the end, pretty market towns offering a cosmopolitan blend of art and great cafes, steam trains and famous houses or indulging in a favourite hobby like golf – it’s all here for you.

We suggest trying something you have never done before – the house can offer a guided Wuthering Heights walk right from the front door to the locations portrayed in the book complete with guide.

We think that the convenience of having a stunning and very private house set in some of the most beautiful countryside but within an hours’ drive from both Manchester and Leeds will have you coming back year after year.
