Sometimes you walk into a house and feel instantly at home, this is one of those places – there is a true sense of welcome and warmth. This particular house is also filled with every imaginable entertainment and has some of the most congenial rooms that we have ever seen. What better place for a house party – incredibly comfortable, but with lots of luxuries that will make your stay unforgettable and with so much do it would be impossible for anyone to be bored.
Perfectly positioned in its own 132 acre estate on the top of a hill surveying rolling green hills the house offers an oasis of calm. Two long drives allow you to leave all your troubles behind well before you even reach the front door. Upon arrival you will be greeted with a beautifully proportioned entrance leading onto a large hallway – your eye is drawn immediately to the rich woods, sparkling glass and warm colours that define this lovely house.
Downstairs you will find large drawing and morning rooms both with excellent views as well as a fabulous panelled dining room with plenty of space for large parties at the large polished table. All of these rooms are elegant and tastefully decorated – no shabby old chinz here – antiques are well kept and sofas are new. The additional “blue room” offers a cosy haven for some serious curling up in front of the TV or nice window seat for reading as you survey the green hills beyond.
The huge kitchen which boasts an AGA as well as plenty of equipment suitable for a big group has both charm and practicality with a proper scrubbed pine table and butlers sink – just right for an informal breakfast. The kitchen leads onto a spacious family den – there is a large TV, big inviting sofas, lots of toys, games and books, a karaoke machine and even a walking map of the estate and beyond.
All the bedrooms are individually furnished with nice touches like bottles of water and antique dressing table sets typifying the attention to detail which characterises the decor. Various styles mean that everybody will find a room to their taste - there is even a fabulous children’s room with four large singles and plenty of toys. Many bedrooms are en-suite and some have lounges which can be used as extra sleeping space.
All of the above would make this house an outstanding property in itself but there is even more to offer. The house has a beautiful indoor pool (which can be heated for an additional cost), with large glass doors opening onto a sun terrace, there is a dedicated music room with video karaoke machine, drum kit, disco ball, disco lights and even guitars – so any future X Factor stars will be more than happy. Young and old kids alike will be delighted with the “electrics room” – dedicated to gaming with a Wii, Xbox 360 and PS2 plus games including Guitar Hero all laid out waiting for you. There are also two large old fashioned games rooms with darts, table football, pool, a Scalextrics track and ping pong as well as a big old open fire.
If you need bikes they are provided as are wellingtons and a dressing up box. What will really take your breath away however is the stunning cinema room – a huge converted barn with drop down screen and projector with a stage and microphone – strut your stuff of just dim the lights and lounge in the leather recliners for a private cinema experience. If you are feeling a bit guilty from all the extra food then you can always pop on a film and watch it from the exercise bike which is part of a small gym on a balcony overlooking the big screen.
Located as it is in almost the middle of the country, this amazing house offers excellent access for many parts of the UK. With so many facilities it is perfect for just about any event - the large hallway is well proportioned and can seat an additional 20 guests on a long table for a big party. Corporate groups will be hard pressed to find so many facilities perfect for client entertainment or presentations in a private house anywhere else. The grounds offer a wealth of opportunity including a tennis court, giant chess, walking, cycling, at an additional cost there is also quad bikes and clay shooting, adjacent to the estate there is paint balling, and further a field there are lots of attractions such as Cadbury World, West Midlands Safari Park and The Black Country Museum.
Often our clients tell us that their biggest worries are finding a house which their family and friends will love with lots of space and lots to do - now you can stop worrying and start packing - this amazing house won't let you down whatever the occasion.
